Portfolio & Business Models

A map of the client's portfolio and business models, showing how value is created and monetised today.

A portfolio description goes in and a set of business model views comes out.

What goes in
  • Client / Company Name
  • Portfolio Description
  • Revenue & Business Models
  • Approved outputs of Review Existing Strategies and Evaluate Financial Logic (optional)
What you get
  • A portfolio overview
  • A business model canvas per major unit
  • A revenue model per unit
  • Portfolio interdependencies
  • An assessment of strategic coherence
How it works

Four steps from start to finish.

  1. 1Fill in the input form

Complete the fields: Client / Company Name; Portfolio Description; Revenue & Business Models.

  2. 2Choose upstream context

Tick which approved outputs to include as context: Review Existing Strategies and Evaluate Financial Logic. Anything not approved is simply left out.

  3. 3Review the streamed output

The draft streams in as you watch. Read it, add comments for the team and edit the text. Regenerate it with feedback if it needs another pass.

  4. 4Approve the result

An approved output becomes available as context for Core Capabilities & SWOT and Transformation Programs, and it appears on the Summary page.

Portfolios with several units rarely have one shared description of how each unit earns its keep.

What {{product.name}} does with it

The tool takes a description of the portfolio and its revenue and business models. It gives a portfolio overview, a business model canvas and revenue model for each major unit, and a view of how the units depend on each other.
